The Collection Development and Acquisitions Unit is responsible for coordinating the process of ordering and adding books, media, and other items to the library’s physical and electronic collections.
How do I request that the library purchase materials for the collection?
For general questions about library acquisitions contact:
Randyn Heisserer-Miller, Acquisitions Coordinator
Each academic department appoints a library liaison that serves as a communication channel between departments and the library for purchase of materials to add to the library collection. Each department also has a librarian assigned to it that can assist with acquisition related questions.
The Carrie Woodburn Johnson Endowment allows for faculty and staff of Southeast Missouri State University to request a one-time award of funds to be used to strengthen Kent Library’s collections in a particular subject, discipline, or program area. Requests must be for electronic, print, or physical materials that can be purchased through a one-time only payment. Materials with recurring costs cannot be acquired using the Carrie Woodburn Johnson Endowment.
The deadline for submission is: 5:00 pm, Friday, March 29, 2019
