This panel depicts the mark of Petrus Liechtenstein. Liechtenstein was a printer during the 15th and 16th centuries and was also the publisher of the great Czech Bible. His mark is a shield divided vertically into two parts colored red and black. Each compartment contains a spherical astronomical device. Around this shield is a floral design and atop it rests a third spherical device.
The stained glass panel highlighted here once hung in the windows of Kent Library when it was originally installed in 1939. In 1968, the panes were placed into walnut frames and displayed on the mezzanine level of the renovated library until 2007 when they were removed for safety during library remodeling.
