Athenæum Series: Fall 2010 “speaking while listening: continuation”

Tuesday, September 14th, 2010

Kent Library’s fall Athenaeum Series begins on Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at 12:30 p.m. in Sadie’s Place with Department of Art professor Chris Wubbena’s discussion of a recently completed sculpture installation titled “speaking while listening.” The multimedia art installation explores the complex issues of the Vietnam War from many perspectives including his father’s, a Vietnam veteran. Wubbena will discuss how the concept has broadened to express the complexity and challenges of wartime while arriving at intervals of beauty and understanding.

The faculty and staff of Kent Library will be delighted if you will join us for this presentation which is open to all and will include free refreshments. For more information, please contact Kent Library’s Director’s Office at 573-651-2235 or go to
