Kent Library’s Fall 2009 Athenæum Series: Southeast Goes Green. Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at 12:00 noon in Sadie’s Place at Kent Library

Dr. Steve Overmann will introduce and explore steps that the University community can take toward a sustainable, “green” campus. Three levels of the University will be considered: individuals, organizational units (an office, a department, a residence hall floor, or a student club), and the overall institution. At each level, economically sound steps can be taken to improve energy efficiency, conserve natural resources, and reduce environmental impacts. These steps will address the University Strategic Planning priority, foster environmental literacy, and help the University community develop a culture of environmental awareness and concern. The event is open to all and refreshments will be served. For more information, visit http://library.semo.edu/info/athenaeum2009.shtml
