Kent Library Athenæum Series Presents: “Student Recital”

Kent Library’s Spring 2014 Athenæum Series continues Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. in Sadie’s Place with Dr. Jeffrey Noonan and students from the Department of Music presenting “Student Recital.” We are pleased to showcase the talents of student musicians from Southeast Missouri State University’s Earl and Margie Holland School of Visual and Performing Arts, Department of Music. This recital has become a highly anticipated part of each Athenæum series, and Kent Library is proud to introduce this season’s extraordinary musicians. This is an exciting opportunity to support developing musicians and enjoy some of the world’s most treasured musical masterpieces.
Kent Library’s Athenæum Series, which began in the fall of 2007, derives its name from the classical Greek goddess of wisdom, Athena. These open forums, public lectures, and discussions were originally popular in Greece, but eventually spread to Rome and Western Europe. Kent Library’s series showcases the expertise of campus faculty, staff, and students. All events are free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Please join us as we carry forward an ancient, but still vibrant, tradition. For more information on Kent Library’s Athenaeum Series, visit: http://bit.ly/kentath.
