Technology, Security and the Mechanics of American Elections

On Wednesday, October 24th at noon in Sadie’s Place at Kent Library, Dr. Jeremy Walling of the Department of Political Science, Philosophy, and Religion, will present this week’s Athenaeum series topic, Technology, Security and the Mechanics of American Elections.

Every election cycle, Americans are bombarded with countless campaign advertisements and endless media commentary.  In such and environment, it is possible to become overwhelmed by the rhetoric and desensitized to the messages.  With that in mind, this presentation is an attempt to ignore policy issues and campaign rhetoric completely.

This presentation will be an opportunity to go beyond the headlines and examine the current issues in voting behavior and the administration of elections.

The presentation is open to all.  For more information, visit
