Kent Libary's Fall Athenaeum Series: Are You a Creator, Critic, or Collector? Participatory Roles of Today's Social Media Wednesday, September 2, 2009, 12:00 noon

In this presentation, Dr. Karie Hollerbach, Department of Mass Media,  will define and discuss  the participatory roles of today’s social media.  Do you Twitter?  Are you LinkedIn?  Befuddled by blogs?  Wild for wikis? Or has the onslaught of social media choices left you wondering:  What is this really all about and how would I ever use it?  Dr. Hollerbach will discuss the changing landscape of social media, its impact on traditional mass media, and social media applications for daily life, both inside and outside of the classroom.  Please join us at Sadie’s Place in Kent Library for this free presentation.  Refreshments will be provided.  For more information, visit
