Kent Library introduces Text a Call Number

Kent Library has added a new feature to its catalog that lets users text the title, call number, and library location for a book to their cell phones. Using this feature is a convenient way to find a book in the library, and it saves paper too. Here’s how to do it:

1. Search the Kent Library Catalog as usual –

2. Select a book from the list by clicking on its title.

3. Click on “Send call number via text.” Choose your cell phone provider and type your 10-digit phone number. Click ‘Send’. (Note: charges from your carrier may apply.)

4. The title, call number, and library location will appear as a text message on your cell phone.
