Are human carbon dioxide emissions a global bane or boon?

Awake or asleep, we all produce carbon dioxide, but because of the way we live, some of us produce more than others.  Besides providing plants with a critical resource they need to photosynthesize, CO2 prevents our planet from sinking to temperature depths that might prevent the possibility of life itself.  On Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at noon in Kent Library’s Sadie’s Place, Dr. Alan Journet will explore the balance between global bane and boon and discuss what we might do to level the balance.  The Presentation is open to all, and refreshments will be served.  For more information, please go to:
