Kent Library is the center for scholarship and culture on the Southeast Missouri State University campus. Four times per semester, Kent Library hosts the Athenaeum Series. The Athenaeum Series, which began in the fall of 2007, derives its name from Athena, the classical Greek goddess of wisdom. These open forums provide an opportunity for faculty, staff, and students within the Southeast Missouri State University community to showcase their talents and expertise. All events are free and open to the public.
