Best sellers |
Titles from the New York Times best sellers list are displayed in
Sadie's Place. They can be checked out for 21 days and renewed
once. |

|
Bulletin boards |
Available on the 3rd & 4th floors for your use. They
are located near the elevator. Post any University-related
activity information here. No pre-approval needed! |
|
|
Change machine |
Located on the main floor. Accepts $1, $5, $10, and $20 bills
and dispenses quarters. Small bills may also be broken at the Periodicals
Desk. |
|
|
Children's books |
Children and young adult books are available in the
Instructional Materials Center on the third floor. Local patrons are welcome
to use these materials in the library building. |
|
|
Coffee |
The Kent Cafe' serves hot and bottled
beverages and snacks. Hours are 3:30 - 10:00pm, Sunday - Thursday. |
|
|
Copiers |
Photocopy machines are available on the main floor and in the
reference area on the 3rd floor. There is one color copier on the 3rd floor.
The color copier on the third floor near Reference, and the two public
copy machines in Periodicals on the main floor accept
departmental copy cards as well as coins and bills. Large bills
can be broken at the Periodicals desk on the main floor. |

CSTL |
The
Center for Scholarship
in Teaching and Learning
is located on the 3rd floor.
|
|
|
Desktop computers |
Desktop computers for research are available on the main floor.
Microsoft Office is installed on the 3rd floor computers. Use your
Southeast key and password for access. There are two computer stations for Kent Library catalog access on the 4th
floor. |

|
Group study rooms |
Group study rooms are available on a first come first serve basis. There are
four group study rooms on
the main floor―two across from Sadie's Place, two across from the
Periodicals Service Desk, and three on the 3rd floor,
along with three group study areas. |

|
Heather MacDonald Greene Multimedia Center |
The Heather MacDonald Greene Multimedia Center is located in room 329 of Kent Library.
It has two production rooms with capabilities for group PowerPoint presentations, video and sound recording and video, sound and photo editing.
Come visit us to work on your next class project. |

ILL and MOBIUS |
Local patrons may use Interlibrary Loan (ILL) to request materials
Kent Library does not own. Students, faculty and staff can
request materials through
MOBIUS or
journal articles or other unavailable items through
ILL. |

Instruction |
Library faculty provide information
literacy instruction for college classes and visiting high schools. |
|
|
Laptops |
Laptops for use within the library building are available at the circulation desk.

Microform scanner/printer |
Available in the periodicals area. Handles both
microfilm and microfiche: view and print or save to USB drive or
CD-R. |

Micro-opaque card viewer |
Allows viewing of the micro card format (no printing available for this
machine). |

New Books |
Displayed in Sadie's Place and listed in the online catalog. |
|
|
Printing |
Computers on the main floor print to copier/printers in the periodicals
area or Sadie's Place. Computers in 3rd floor lab print to lab
printers.
Faculty, staff, and students use their Southeast key to print. There is
currently no
printing available from the public access terminal. |

Renew books online |

Scanning |
There is one scanner and one copier-printer with
scanning capabilities in the computer lab on the third floor. This
service is available to students, staff, and faculty. |

Typewriter |
Located in the hallway outside the Instructional Materials
Center (IMC). For questions or assistance, ask at the IMC service desk. |

|
Vending machines |
Located on the first floor (basement). Available during all
building hours. |
|
Videos: VHS & DVDs |
Housed in the
Instructional Materials Center,
the collection includes feature films (both classic and recent
releases), foreign language feature films, documentaries, tutorials and
instructional videos. |

Video cameras |
Housed in the Instructional Materials
Center.
They can be checked out for 3 days and their availability can be checked online here.

searches. Email alerts based on saved searches are available for
new library items. |

Wireless access (wi fi 802.11 b/g) is available throughout the
library building. Use your Southeast key to gain access to the
network. |

Writing Lab |
The
Writing
Lab is located on the 4th floor.
Access is via a 3rd floor staircase outside the Instructional Materials Center (IMC). |
