Congratulations to our Library Student Assistants

 

Kent Library would like to congratulate all of the Students Assistants that will be graduating this May.  The library appreciates all of their hard work and we wish them all the best in their future endeavors.

 

 

Caitlin Murphy

 

Caitlin has worked at the Circulation desk since the Fall 2005.  She will be graduating with a degree in Business Administration. 

 

Awards/Recognitions/Organizations: Gamma Phi Beta, ODK, Beta Gamma Sigma (with honors)

Future Plans:  Currently looking for a rewarding job in St. Louis while applying to various graduate programs.


 

Erika Vandergraaf

Erika has worked at Circulation for over a year.  This May she will be getting a Bachelor of Arts in German. 

She is a member of Alpha Mu Gamma

   
  Sarah Guthrie

Sarah has worked at Periodicals for two semesters.  She will be graduating with a Bachelors in Music Education and has plans to teach Middle and High School Band and Choir in Wellsville, MO. 

Awards/Recognitions/Organizations: Phi Eta Sigma, Phi Kappa Phi, CMENC, and Summa Cum Laude.

   
  Jill Werheim

Jill has worked as a student assistant at Periodicals for one year.  She will be receiving a Bachelor of Science this May before heading off to Graduate School and completing a fellowship at the University of Iowa to earn a Masters in Library and Information Science. 

Jill was also the Kent Library March Student Assistant of the Month.

   
  Melissa Welch

Melissa has worked at Periodicals for two years.  She will be graduating in May with a Degree in Biology.

Awards/Recognitions/Organizations: 
Internship with Dr. Kraemer

Melissa will be working at a children's camp at the St. Louis Zoo. The poster, Wiggly Organic Recycling Machine (W.O.R.M.), was part of Melissa's job interview at the Zoo.

   
  Myra Davis

Myra has worked at Kent Library for five years.  She will be graduating with a degree in Dietetics. 

Myra was the Kent Library Student Assistant of the Month in January.

   
  Diane Riley

Diane has worked at Kent Library for the past four years in the Collection Management department. Diane is a double major in Historic Preservation and Housing and Interior Design.  She works for the Collection Management department. She will be graduating in May and then is going to graduate school at George Washington University in D.C.

Diane was the Kent Library Student Assistant of the Month for February.

   
  Adam Hauck

Adam will graduate with a Bachelor in Fine Arts with a Computer Animation emphasis.   He worked in Government Documents for about a year.

Awards: Best of New Genre Award 2006 Annual Juried Student Art Show

Future Plans: Do some traveling and then head to a graduate school.

   
  Derek Munster

Derek will graduate with a Bachelor in Fine Arts with a Graphic Design emphasis. Derek worked in Government Documents for one year.

Future Plans: Pursue a career in Graphic Design.

 

   
  Rebecca Prendergrast

Rebecca will graduate with a degree in Historic Preservation.  She worked at the Circulation Desk.
