MOBIUS
MOBIUS, also known as Missouri Bibliographic Information Users System,
is a consortium of Missouri academic and public libraries. Southeast Missouri State University
is a member of MOBIUS. MOBIUS libraries are organized geographically by cluster. Kent Library is part of the Galahad cluster, which includes Mineral Area College (MAC) and Three Rivers Community College
(TRCC).
On average, it takes 3-5 days to fill a MOBIUS request.
This delivery time is dependent upon the pick up location chosen by the
student.
Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary Loan is a
service that supports the research and teaching needs of Southeast
Missouri State University by providing access to materials from
libraries throughout the United States. To supplement the
resources readily available in Kent Library and/or the books available
through MOBIUS, patrons can use ILL to borrow books, newspapers and
dissertations as well as to receive photocopies of journal articles.
On average, it takes 11 working days to fill an ILL request, though
it can take as little as 3 days or as long as 1 month to receive materials, depending on the
location and the availability of the item at other libraries. ILL staff will attempt to borrow
books from the closest libraries and journal articles from libraries
that transmit electronically.
Requests are usually processed
within 24 hours of receipt.
Requests submitted after 3:00 p.m.
or on weekends will be processed the next business day.
Because ILL cannot predict the availability or location of an item,
there is no guarantee that requested materials will be
available within a specified period of time. Patrons
are encouraged to request materials well in advance of deadlines.
To improve the success of
a
request, submit an accurate, complete and unabbreviated citation.
Interlibrary Loan forms are available online at:
http://library.semo.edu/get/ill.shtml.
Pick-up borrowed materials at the Circulation Desk
if SEMO-Cape Girardeau Kent Library
was chosen as the pickup location
for the requested items.

sign-in sheet in a folder at the Circulation

responsibility of the organization or
