Reference and Research Assistance

The department provides research assistance at the Reference Desk in the library, by phone, email, chat, or text. The Reference Desk phone number is 573-651-2230. The email is kentreference@semo.edu. Individualized research assistance is available by consultation; call the Reference Desk to schedule an appointment.

Information Literacy Instruction

The department provides course-related information literacy instruction and instruction to area high schools. Instruction can take place in the library classroom KL215, in other campus classrooms, or online. To schedule an information literacy session follow these instructions.

Instructional Materials Center

The IM Center houses materials commonly found in a school media center as well the Library's video and DVD collection. The IM Center, located on the third floor, closes 30 minutes before the Library closes. You can reach the service desk at 573-651-2234. Government Documents

We serve as one of many federal depositories across the nation. Government documents includes a print collection on the 4th floor, online resources and tax information. For help with researching Government documents contact the Reference Desk at 573-651-2230.
