Kent Library provides assistance with and access to materials published by agencies within the government structure of either the United States or the State of Missouri. Service is provided through Kent Library's centralized Reference Desk. Click on the tabs below for more information.

 

  Q: What is a government document?  
  A: 

Anything published by or for a government entity. This includes everything from such obvious resources as statutes, regulations, and court decisions to less obvious things like food pyramid posters and educational coloring books.

The United Nations

The UN provides information on global topics like climate change and terrorism.  Here you can access treaties and other documents, read reports, and learn about the UN's organizational structure.

 

 

Organization of American States

The Organization of the American States is a multilateral forum in the western hemisphere for strengthening democracy and human rights and confronting issues such as poverty, terrorism, and illegal drugs. The OAS publishes magazines, reports, and issues treaties and other documents that can be accessed online.
