Google Scholar setup
In 3 steps, Google Scholar can be set up to recognize which articles found are available for free in full text online or available as a paper copy in Kent Library. The following steps need only be done once on your personal machine, but may have to be repeated on lab or other public computers
| 1) On the Google Scholar search screen, click on Scholar Preferences. |
| 2) Enter 'southeast missouri' in the find library box and click the button. |
3) Checkmark the choice 'Kent Library at Southeast Missouri State University - get full text'. *note: several choices with 'Southeast' show up, choose the one with the exact wording in green above. Click on the 'Save Preferences' button near the top right of the screen (not pictured here).
Now you can return to the Google Scholar search screen and search as usual. |
If the full text of an article is available through Kent Library, a 'get full text' link will appear next to corresponding articles.
make sure to click on the 'get full text' link and not the article title
If you are off campus, you will be prompted to log in |
