Series I: Correspondence

Primarily from Albert M. Spradling, Jr. (hereinafter referenced as Albert M. Spradling, Jr.) from 1936-1991, with Albert M. Spradling, Sr., various Cape Girardeau banks, and government officials.

Series II: Personal &Financial Ephemera

Contains mainly Albert M. Spradling, Jr's high school and college papers, bills, insurance policies, and financial records, 1938-1987.

Series III: Political and Legal Ephemera

Subseries 1: Political Documents
Includes Senate manuals, program booklets, John F. Kennedy inauguration invitation, and Albert M. Spradling, Jr. campaign materials, 1948-1980.

Subseries 2: Foreign Trade Mission
Contains booklets, invitations, schedules, and correspondence from the Missouri Trade Mission in Europe, 1964.

Subseries 3: Legal Documents
Primarily contains case reviews pertaining to various acts, doctrines, and legal issues. Also includes issued rules for practice of the Supreme Court of Missouri and of the 27th Judicial Circuit, 1946.

Series IV: Photographs

Subseries 1: Political and Public Appearances
Photographs include the Missouri Pharmacist Banquets, an unknown groundbreaking project, and Albert M. Spradling, Jr.'s 25-year retirement party, and Albert M. Spradling, Jr. at the W.T. Grant Co. Ceremony.

Subseries 2: Foreign Trade Mission
Contains onsite, group scenes, and photographs of conferences from the Missouri Trade Mission in Europe, 1964.

Subseries 3: Cityscape
Includes views of the Town Plaza, W.T. Grant Town Plaza, Kroger Town Plaza, and Woolworths Town Plaza. Also scenes of various buildings and streets in Cape Girardeau, 1957-1959.

Subseries 4: Personal and Miscellaneous
Scenes mainly of the Spradling house, various members of the Spradling family, and Albert M. Spradling, Jr.'s school photographs.

Contains various documents of Cape Girardeau and surrounding towns and transcripts of an interview with and three biographies of Albert M. Spradling, Jr. Also includes Cape Girardeau County maps.

Series VI: Booklets and Clippings

Contains assorted journals and magazines, such as Missouri Business, Missouri Pharmacist, and The Cape County Journal. The materials primarily include reports and newsletters with articles regarding awards presented to Albert M. Spradling, Jr., 1946-1993. Clippings from 1945-2002 concerning Albert M. Spradling, Jr.'s awards, appointments to commissions, and biographies about his legal and political careers.
