Jennie Snider, born in Campbell, MO on August 31, 1885, was a graduate of the Southeast Missouri State Teachers College class of 1915. While at Southeast, she was a member of the Y.W.C.A., the tennis club, the arts and crafts club, and the Clio Literary Society, a club which promoted literary and music appreciation.

Snider was honored by the Southeast Missouri Teacher’s Association for her work as a teacher in Campbell, MO where she was also a district historian and an artist. She was a charter member of the Campbell Women’s Club. She passed away in December of 1966.
 
Special Collections and Archives houses a bound carbon typescript (10p) of poems by Snider, including one poem dedicated to the Southeast Missouri State Teachers College; and holograph letter from Snider to Sadie Kent, October 20, 1948, regarding donation of poetry.
